Our U12s were back in action tonight as they made the short trip to Convoy for our second game in the league cup series but were on the wrong side of a 7-goal thriller at Orchard Park.

Despite the scoreline, there were lots of positives from the game none more than so than Joe McGonigle
grabbing our first goals back in the under-age league. There was also impressive performances from Jamie Cullen in goals, Oisin Tinney and Sarah Holmes in defence and Jack White in midfield.
This was always going to be a tough game for Drumoghill but McGonigle's strikes - either side of half time - had brought his side back into the game after Convoy had raced into a 4-0 lead inside the first 18 minutes.
However, at 4-2, it was game on and Drumoghill now had a foothold in the game.
Indeed, McGonigle had a chance to complete his hat-trick before Jack Meehan had forced a good save from Lukas Friel as Drumoghill threatened the most unlikely of comebacks for a period midway through the second half.
However, Lucas Lindsay raced away to restore Convoy's 3 goal advantage in the late stages before Daniel McHugh completed his hat-trick just before the final whistle.
Credit to Drumoghill for never giving up, plenty to learn from and we move onto our final group game in early April.
Our thanks to Eunan Brolly for refereeing the game.
